  • Needles: Choose a ballpoint or stretch needle designed for knit fabrics will help prevent skipped stitches.
  • Cutting tools: Sharp scissors or a rotary cutter will make cutting through fleece easier and more precise.
  • Use a longer stitch length: Set your sewing machine to a longer stitch length (around 3 mm) to prevent puckering and stretching of the fabric.
  • Use a walking foot: This helps prevent the fabric from stretching or slipping while sewing.
  • Use a zig-zag or lightning stitch to let the stretch of the fabric remain while sewing
  • Backstitch at the beginning and end of seams: This reinforces the seams and prevents them from coming undone over time.
