Quilt Block of the Month - January!
For 2026, we are doing a fun and easy quilt block of the month series! These quilt blocks will all be low stress, and at the end of the year you will have a little sampler quilt that you can put together!
January's Quilt Block - Easy Modified Rail Fence Pattern
Cutting Instructions
Rectangles
Cut 8 rectangles total
Rectangle size: 3.5″ × 2″
I did four of each color to have four orange and four light pink
Assembly
Sew two rectangles (one of each color) together along the 3.5″ side to create a 3.5″ square.
Make 4 striped squares total.
Arrange the squares in a 2×2 layout:
Upper left: vertical stripes
Upper right: horizontal stripes
Lower left: horizontal stripes
Lower right: vertical stripes
Sew the squares together to complete the block.
